after a half hour of grinding / filing (and damaging the part, while i man-handled the shit out of it) the pin finally fit through.

 • difference between the stock left footrest & the touratech one. it's not redily apparent that the TT one is going to be farther back, but we'll see.

 • not a perfect fit, not even close! you'd think for $377 that it might at least be properly designed / put together. what the hell is that? the left side (on this photo) isn't even square with the baseplate.

 • the pin was a bitch to get in because of the error in frame production, so much that i couldn't fit the washer in under the cotter pin.
 • slightly better construction on the brake, greasing it up. i don't know if i'm using the right grease here... but it's what i had readily available.

 • the clip-pin that holds the arm up into the brake mechanism.
 • this is the point which i got REALLY IRRITATED. the "arm" that is supposed to KEEP CONTACT with that trigger (that activates / deactivates the brake light) is about 1-2 cm below where it's supposed to be.

isn't this damn thing built SPECIFICALLY for this bike?
